Our Mixtape for Laundry Day 2014! Hope you like it...
Didier Mortier en Guido De Moor by day
Mortier & D Moor by night
We first met in 2011, at a dorm party in Bruges. We instantly clicked musically and decided to start deejaying together as DMG. In September of that year, Mortier released a bootleg: ‘Calling somebody – Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso vs. Gotye’, which was remastered by Moonflower, reached one million Youtube views and was played by Tiësto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike in their podcasts and live shows!
In 2012 we tweaked our skills even further, by making bootlegs, mashups and mixtapes. DMC became Mortier & D Moor. We designed a new logo, our own website, Facebook page and Twitter feed. We did all those things without losing sight of our main focus: the music itself. We became familiar with new styles like Club & Progressive House, Trap and R&B.
2013 gave us the opportunity to play some exciting new and popular venues: NEXT Thursdays in NOXX Antwerp (resident DJ), Coulissen Brugge, ZSC Gala in Skidome Terneuzen and Bootyrave Festival 2013 in Kasterlee. Mashups like “Sweet Nothing (Trap Mash-up)”, “If I Lose Mammoth” and “Thinking About You (‘Aurelia’ Mashup)” are going strong on Soundcloud, and our new podcast “Like M” was released in 2013.
2014 will be our year to shine. Our goal? That’s easy: burn the place down! People having fun and talking about it afterwards is all we could wish for. But like every DJ we have our wet dreams as well. Tomorrowland, Summerfestival, Laundry Day, … With the right amount of effort, smart networking and a suitcase filled to the brim with party music, you might see us appear on one of those stages in the future!
